Black Silicon Carbide

Black Silicon Carbide is produced by heating carbon source(petroleum coke) and silica sand to high temperatures in a large, open electric furnace. The result of this high-temperature process is the crystalline form of silicon carbide grains of black coloring. Black silicon carbide has electrical heat conductivity. The hardness of silicon carbide is second only to diamond. We offer both Macro and Micro grit sizing. Our silicon carbide is provided in standard FEPA sizes, custom particle sizes, custom densities, and custom chemistries.
